Dave & Jan Thiessen > Executive Director
They started volunteering at Ranger in the summer of 2003. Jan is continuing her job as head cook, and as of January 2008, Dave is the Executive Director. They have two children, Tim and Nicole. Tim worked at Ranger as an LIT, JC, Senior Cabin Leader, and makes brief appearances at the barn. Nicole continues to be a camper one week each summer, helps her mom in the kitchen, and helps the staff wherever needed. During the school year, the Thiessen family lives in Dalmeny. The main office for the camp is setup in Faith Baptist Church.
John & Sandra Rempel > Site Manager
They joined the ministry at Ranger Lake in May 2004. John is known as "the construction guy." He has spent many years in the construction industry is therefore able to fix or build nearly anything we need. In his spare time he keeps his hands dirty tinkering on cars. Sandra is busy at home with four boys and a baby girl--Zach, Graham, Damian, Noah, and Emily. Since arriving at camp she has enjoyed the opportunity to begin home schooling her boys. The Rempels live at camp year round.
Greg & Jessica Benson > Assistant Director
Greg and Jessica worked at Ranger Lake during the summers of 2001-2005, and in 2006, they joined the full-time staff team. They have three children--Leif, Annika and Trygve--who love camp just as much as their parents. Jessica is a Registered Nurse and photographer. They spend their winters in Saskatoon. Greg is in charge of camp programming, discipleship, and all of our DIRT camps.
Daryl & Dawn Grunau > Program Director
Daryl and Dawn Grunau joined the full-time staff team in April 2009. Dawn works in the children's ministry department at Cornerstone Church and Daryl is known as the "Camera Guy" during the summer. He is also in charge of media, mentorship and programming. They have two little girls, Libby and Norah.
